Any personal identifiable information about an Insured or Claimant is considered personal information and will be treated in accordance with the privacy policy.

PURPOSES

North Country Adjuster collects, and uses and discloses personal information for the following purposes:

-Verifying your identity and the accuracy of your personal information with government agencies, industry associations, brokers and other Insurers and or adjusters.

-Analyzing and assessing and underwriting risks.

-Investigation and paying of claims.

-Detecting and preventing fraud or other illegal activities.

-Establishing and maintaining communications with you.

-Complying with the law, or the requests of law enforcement agencies or regulators.

In this privacy policy the above list of identified purposes will be referred to as the identified purposes.

CONSENT

Your knowledge and consent of North Country Adjuster’s collection, use, and disclosure of your personal information is critical. We rely on the following actions by you as indications or your consent to our existing and future personal information practices:

-Your voluntary provision of personal information, directly to North Country Adjuster.

-Your expressed consent or acknowledgement obtained within a written, verbal or electronic application process.

-Your receipt of this privacy policy, until you notify North Country Adjuster of a withdrawal of this consent.

-Your consent given through your authorized representatives such a as a legal guardian, agent, or holder or power of attorney.

In some cases refusing to provide certain personal information or withdrawing consent from North Country Adjuster to collect, use or disclose your personal information could mean that you jeopardize Insurance coverage through your Insurance carrier.

COLLECTION & RETENTION OF PERSONAL INFORMATION

North Country Adjuster will only collect, use or disclose personal information that is necessary for the identified purposes previously discussed or as required by law. If we require personal information for any other purpose, you will be notified of the new purpose, and subject to your consent, that new purpose will become an identified purpose. North Country Adjuster will only collect personal information by fair and lawful means. We will retain personal information only as long as necessary for the fulfillment of the identified purposes.

ACCURACY

North Country Adjuster will maintain your personal information, accurate, complete, and up to date as is necessary for the identified purposes.

SAFE GUARDS

North Country Adjuster will protect your personal information by security safe guards appropriate to the sensitivity of the information. Safe guards will vary depending on the sensitivity format, location and storage of personal information.
